Suvla Körfezi ve Anzak'ın uçurumları - The Bay of Suvla and the cliffs of Anzac
Creator
Emile Vedel.
Description
Suvla Körfezi'nin üstünde Anafarta tepelerinde büyük kalibreli Türk bombalarının patlamaları. Suvla sahili: Solda, Lala Baba sağda, İngilizlerden Çikolata dağı dedikleri tepe. Anzak uçurumları, Avustralyalıların ve Yeni Zelandalıların karaya çıkış noktası, 25 Nisan 1915. Büyük hüsranın hikayesi nin sonu: Aralık 1915'teki tahliyeden sonra, son ayrılan gemi Cornwallis'te çekilen Sulva'nın şafaktaki son manzarası - Explosions of Turkish shells of a large caliber on the hills of Anafarta, looming over the bay of Suvla. Suvla's beach: to the left, Lala Baba to the right, the height which the English have named Mt. Chocolate. The cliffs of Anzac, disembarkation point for the Australians and the New-Zealanders, April 25th 1915. The end of the story of a splendid disappointment : Last view of Suvla after the evacuation in December 1915, taken on board the Cornwallis, the boat which left last, at dawn.
Note
Üç renkli suluboya resimleri Anzak'ın uçurumlarını ve Suvla körfezini gösteriyor. Bir makale oradaki Anzak'ın eylemelerini anlatıyor, i.e. Çanakkale savaşı - 3 watercolors (in color) show the cliffs of Anzac and the bay of Suvla. An article relays Anzac's actions there, i.e. the battle of Gallipoli.
