Yarımca İbtidâî Mektebi'nde mukaddemat-ı ulûmu öğrendikten sonra Dersaadet'e gelip Süleymaniye Çifte-i Salis Medresesi'nde Bayezid dersiâmlarından Akça Şehirli Haydar Fazıl Efendi'nin dersine devamla tasavvurata kadar ders görmüş. Ve o sırada 1307 senesinde Dârülmuallimîn'e kayd olarak fünûn-u lazımiyeyi öğrendikten sonra bir kıta şehâdetnâme almıştır.
