Photographs and Postcards
This is a collection of photographs and postcards of cities. While it mainly includes views of Ottoman and Turkish cities, a few key European cities of diplomatic importance can also be found. Photographs of railroads, train stations, piers, ports, docks, storage houses, neighborhoods and squares, consulate buildings and palaces, mosques, monasteries, churches, schools, hospitals, as well as depictions of momentous political events provide researchers with a trove of visual material from the 19th and 20th centuries.
