Note
Howard S. Bliss (Beirut, 1911 Feb 9) writes Peet explaining the acquisition and taxation of his small property as well as the inclusion of a pledge for such acquisition. Also includes an eight page letter to Ambassador J Ridgley Carter (1911, Jan 10) requesting a general firman for the medical school, inquiring about taxes and military service for both pupils and teachers and notes the emergence of the Dentistry school in the Syrian Protestant College.
