The series consists of photographs of urban and rural landscapes, ancient ruins and archeological excavations in Turkey taken in the years 1953-1969 by Jane Laroche (1920-2014). She was married to the ancient Anatolian languages expert Emmanuel Laroche, who served as the director of IFEA (founded in 1930 as the French Institute of Archaeology) between the years 1965-1974.
